Live Your Best Life Through Menopause and Beyond

Combat Menopause
Misinformation
While things are slowly changing, the medical community as a whole is unfortunately poorly informed about menopause, and many doctors (and people!) just aren’t comfortable talking about it. Women are sadly underserved by the medical community when it comes to midlife and menopause.
As a medical doctor, naturopathic medical herbalist and women’s midlife health advocate, my goal is to provide you with safe, trustworthy information that doesn’t ignore the wonders of medical science, OR the vast body of knowledge we can draw on from alternative medicine.
Make Your Midlife Years
Positively Life Changing!
We have within us the power to make changes in our lives that will support our health and wellbeing. The experience of menopause is universal, but our individual journey is unique. Menopause and midlife can be a time of renewal, reflection, and a time to step into our powerful and wise selves, but we need reliable, credible information to get us there.
My Story
You have 2 feet to move forward, you have 2 hands to help others…
I’ll never forget the day a stranger knocked on my door and changed my world forever. “Did you know you’re adopted?” he said. Turns out, I was one of the “Stolen Generation”, Australian mixed-race aboriginal children who were forcibly taken from their families by the government in order to further assimilate them into the population.
I was ultimately able to meet my biological family, however, my experience left me feeling like I didn’t know where I belonged. Years later, my Indigenous father told me, ‘You belong in both worlds, honour your upbringing, respect your heritage and use your talents and gifts’. He pointed to my feet. ‘You have two feet to move forward’ . He pointed to my hands. ‘You have two hands to help others’.
His words have been a gift to me, and led to my going back to college at 41 and becoming a medical doctor at 51, after a career as a naturopathic practitioner. Belonging in both worlds means bridging the gap between traditional, complimentary, and alternative medicines to create a holistic approach for women’s wellbeing.
My motto in life is ‘Always leave a room better than you found it’. Today I live my dream to use my feet to move forward and use my hands in the best way I know how, to help others.
